Stars in their Eyes:
A big thanks you to all those who turned out for our Star in their Eyes fundraiser held recently in the Heritage Killenard, Congrats to the Winner on the night Thomas McGinn, and runner up Tanya Bracken, and to all the contestants who put a great deal of time and effort preparing for the night, Well done to all.
Whats Going On
Senior
The Senior team came away from Graigeucullen with a hard fought victory, Sunday evening with a score of Score of 1-10 to 0-10, the decisive score coming from Joe Sweeney with a goal just before half time. They now top the Division 1 table on 11 points.
Junior
The Junior Team had a good victory against Ballylinan last week running out 2-12 to 0-3 winners. Another couple of wins should see them cement Division 3 status for next year.
U16
Our U16’s have quilifed for the League Semi-Final and nowe take on St. Josephs – Barrow House on Friday 19th June @18:30 Venue TBC
U14
The U14s had a fine victory over Killeshin/Crettyard Thursday evening emerging 5-7 to 0-4 winners. They now advance to the League semi-finals with a few games to spare.
O’Moore Park Experience
The O Moore Park experience for U10s is on the 15th June when Portarlington play Ballyroan Abbey.
Newry Mitchells Tournament
Portarlington GAA U12s traveled to the Newry Mitchels Tournament last weekend and while they didnt manage to progress from their group, a great day was had by all and they enjoyed the experience of playing teams from other provinces and counties.
